History: Ethan was born into a family who valued education. His mother and father had both earned their PhD's and planned on solving all the problems in the world, or so they dreamt. Evelyn and Viktor pushed their educational values on Lily, their oldest, but the moment she was able to, she rebelled and eventually moved away with her boyfriend, leaving Ethan to bear the burder his parents put on their children. He attended boarding schools, college prep schools, college and the aerospace university to become a pilot. At the age of twenty three, he was already operating flights on his own and when he became twenty five, he learned how to fly shuttles into deep space.
Most of his life had been spent in a cockpit, waiting for all of the travelers of his shuttle to wake up from cryo. When he was thirty, he returned to Earth to reunite with his family for a month or so when he came across the woman of his dreams at a bar: Zusanne. She was everything he could ever want and the two fell in love. They spent four months together on Earth until Ethan was required to run shuttle orbits again, in which case he asked Zusanne to accompany him to far off planets. She agreed and he told her where to be and on what day.
When the day came to begin orbit, Zusanne did not show up, she could not be found or contacted anywhere. Heartbroken, Ethan boarded his flight and began the run to another planet. When he finally arrived four years later, he exited the plane to hear the news of what had happened to his love. Since the shuttle could only make contact with base for necessities such as progress of the flight, Zusanne's family was unable to send the news to Ethan until he landed. Zusanne's car had crashed on her way to the shuttle and she was in the hospital the day he took off. She was able to recover, but the distance from Ethan and the inability to contact him convinced her that he had forgotten about her and she married another man before Ethan had even heard the news.
He gathered that women were not his forte and decided to stay with shuttles and planes and signed up for a shuttle operation to Twrikth within the next few years, where he would be one of six captains.----------------------------------------------The Present----------------------------------------------
