300 Years Later
-*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*-
300 years after Jake Sully and the Clans of the Na'vi defeated the Sky People, the balance of life has been restored and the Na'vi lived in peace. The energy of the land was distributed back to the wildlife, plants, and trees. Eywa saw that the Omaticaya people were without a home, so the tree that lay fallen on the land deteriorated and a new Home Tree grew from the transferred energy. Of course, it is not the exact same and it has not finished growing yet, but the Omaticaya have made the tree their home again and lived in peace.
Back on Earth, the humans' supply of food, sunlight and water were nearly diminished and the human race scrambled to find a new planet to repopulate. The planet of Pandora had long since been forgotten and the humans decided to make their way to a planet they had been exploring the past few decades: Trwikth. Though there are a few natives on that planet, they enjoy the science and modernization that the humans brought and welcome them to their planet. The humans began to board shuttles to take them to this planet, which would take nearly eleven years to reach their destination. Only the captain and a few of the staff on the shuttle remain awake during this time, while the rest enter cryogenic sleep and awaken 11 years later as if it were the next morning.
Shuttle Number 67283, Olympus, was one of the last four hundred to leave and set it's course for the new planet. Upon the flight, Ethan Raid was the captain and first in command until they reached their destination. He, along with 6 others, traded off so that one captain does not have to be awake and nearly alone for eleven years, but rather one captain was in charge of two years each. During a routine trade off, where Captain Jaxin Hoit relieved his command to Ethan Raid. During this routine, the shuttle jerked to the side. Apparently, the coordinates of Trwikth had been entered incorrectly by a few hundred miles, which was enough to send Olympus hurling towards an unknown planet.
Ethan and Jaxin both struggled to get the shuttle back on course and when this failed, they found a minute signal of a landing area and attempted to land with as little injuries and fatalities to their passengers. Unfortunately, Jaxin, along with quite a few others, died in this crash and Ethan awoke some of the soldiers who survived to venture out with him to figure out which planet they were on. When they got to the base, it was completely deserted, not a single human soul was around, but all of the journals and research of the planet remained.
The Na'vi had watched the shuttle fall from the sky, but had no clue who had come to their planet, as no one had seen a Sky Person in over 300 years. In an attempt to learn of their intruders' reason for coming to Pandora, a team of scouts was sent out to speak with the Sky People. Neither spoke eachothers' languages and the Sky people were afraid and defensive based on what they read about the giant blue humanoids from the ancient journals.
Each species went back to their refuge, the Na'vi to Home Tree and the humans to Olympus to decide what to do from here on out. Since the humans did not speak Na'vi, Ethan along with a few linguists and scientists searched the base until they found a book on Pandora, written by a Grace Augustine. Along with this book, they found notes on how the humans used Avatars to appeal to the people. While the scientists describe the Na'vi as peaceful people who follow the ways of their deity, the soldiers and politicians described them as savage and brute.
The majority of scientists decided to work on this Avatar project, using the technology they have along with the ideas and concerns of the Ancients to come up with their own form of an Avatar. A select few came forward to have the surgeries performed, strengthening their bone structure, enhancing their vision, elongating their spinal cord and of course, dying their skin blue. Since many adjustments would be needed, not many in the Avatar program actually look like the Na'vi, just a mixture of the two.
During all of this, the Na'vi fear their lives and their home as they recall the stories of the Sky People and how JakeSully, along with his mate Neytiri, destroyed them and sent them home after a brutal battle.
Would this approach help the two species to coexist until the humans rescue their fallen comrades, or will this be a repeat of the devastating past war between the Na'vi and the Sky People.
