Each area has it's own story to tell and each place is different than last. The characters live in these realms, they aren't strangers to the land...most of them that is. There's an Atlas that explains the finer details of each Realm on Darkling Rise, it's climate and time period, it's history and government, even it's darker spots of trouble. New worlds are added based on Characters that sign up, so we encourage you to be as original as you can be rather than basing your character completely on a certain series or medium.

Organization Highlights
Organization Highlights
There are several organized groups running about the Realms. One of them is the Umbrella Company, which has been removed from it's RE context and started anew by different people and spun to a whole new level of dastardly secrets and dealings. It's run by one of our Sleeper Cell Big Bads. Perdition is overseen by seven Demon Lords, each having mastery over a sin. They are responsible for this hell, with a duty to keep the power of Gods out of the hands of one of their own and make sure it's pieces are never rejoined. We have mercenaries, (ex)demon hunters, a demon mafioso, and many other small inclines of trouble.
Major Plots
Along with several smaller plots, like the liberation of Ascalon, and the conquering of Cantha, there are three bigger plots moving forward. One centers around a Vampire trying to re-obtain her clan's former status. Another pertains with a Prince coming into his Kingdom, plague with doubts of his arranged marriage and the falling apart of his Realm. The third deals with powers to make any mortal a God.

Brutally violent and other mature content are not hidden from the other members in threads. We expect, however, that when moments arise, it is talked about with every member of the thread to make sure they are okay with reading and/or writing that type of scene. Although a word minimum isn't mandated, paragraphs+ are preferred. One liners usually won't get you replies in a thread.
