One of the rare times Txe'lan felt truly alone was during a time of rejection. His antics were quite unlike many of the traditional Na'vi, though he held their core values at heart. He didn't hunt with many others as he chose to do so himself; he didn't fly with many others for fears of another flying incident that claimed his left eye; no, he chose to stay at Hometree and heal anyone that suffered an injury. He definitely wasn't a typical Na'vi, and that's probably why Kachina saw potential in him, but he turned that offer down, and for what? Just to upset her? It was disheartening in the many aspects.
Txe'lan decided to get out of the water, finding it difficult to stay in any longer now that Kachina decided to leave him be. He dried himself off with a quick spin or two, re-donning his vest, satchel, and arm bands. His eyepatch was still quite damp, but that would dry in time. The cold wetness reminded him of his many troubles with the Na'vi in regards to his personal life, and the numbness would remind him of how he dealt with his troubles.
As he started back for the Hometree, Txe'lan looked around for Kachina, not seeing any sign of her. He wanted to tell her what was going on with the Sky People, but that was something he had to keep to himself unless she demanded it out of him. Perhaps the Tsahik would help Txe'lan with this issue; she's been kind to him despite his missing eye, and Txe'lan knew her as a very good friend, always wise and full of advice. Perhaps when the time came, Txe'lan would know what he had to do both as an individual and as part of the Omaticaya Clan. He would have to find a mate eventually or risk ending the bloodline passed onto him, and that was not acceptable; in fact, it was disgraceful.
If I don't see her soon, maybe I will later in a time of dire need...
With that thought playing through his mind, Txe'lan left the water's edge for Hometree. He still had work to do regarding herbal remedies that many of his clanmates needed, and they wouldn't get made whilst he was not there. After all, all he needed were the water flowers to repel the bugs getting in his way...
